Medicine Hat, AB (Sept 29, 2021): Alberta Health Services (AHS) has informed us that the Medical Officer of Health has declared a COVID-19 identified respiratory illness outbreak at our school. A COVID-19 respiratory illness outbreak is when AHS is made aware of increased absenteeism or an unusual number of students with similar symptoms and at least 2 confirmed cases are linked to individuals within the school setting; outbreak control measures will be implemented to limit further spread. Please see the following letter from AHS in regards to the outbreak and the control measures that will be implemented prior to students and staff returning to school.
